Since the introduction of The Care Act on the 1st April 2015, Adult Safeguarding has increasingly taken centre stage within the healthcare agenda. Furthermore, high profile Adult Safeguarding issues such as Domestic Abuse and the new coercive control law, mandatory reporting for Female Genital Mutilation and the PREVENT UK Counter-terrorism strategy, are increasingly in the media and are fast becoming the responsibility of all those working within a healthcare setting.
This course is open to all those working within a healthcare environment to assist them to identify, report and respond to signs of abuse and neglect and explore current themes within Adult Safeguarding both in an UK and international context.
